Onslow County was the 25th finest county in regards to total health, according to the 2016 County Health Rankings study.The research was launched Wednesday by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. According to a news release from countyhealthrankings.org, the survey offers a picture comparing the overall health of almost every county in the nation showing that where we live influences how well and the length of time we live.Pamlico County ranked 29th while Craven County was 36th.
