I wish to clarify a point in a chart accompanying “Private Lending Fills Gap Left by Wary United States Banks” (page one, May 12). While the classification of independent home loan loan providers does consist of some private loan providers, it does not include all of the private loan providers mentioned in the post. It includes just those that have come from more than $10 million in mortgages or at least 100 home mortgages in the preceding year.
