DES MOINES, Iowa No, its not exactly what you remember from your Kindergarten days.
The 12th Annual Arts and Crafts Program begins Friday night at 5:00 pm at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Admission is $6, and provides you access all weekend through the programs closing on Sunday. Children 10 and under are totally free, also.
The show brings nearly 300 exhibitors together under one roofing system, where handmade items from across the Midwest, like oak furnishings, pottery, jewelry, clothes, stained glass and garden art are included. Organizers state these products aren’t such as anything youll discover at a Wal-Mart or Target and some suppliers will even make items to your preference.
These are products that youre not going to find at a Wal-Mart, or a Sears, or any location else, because these are products that are being made by the real individuals at the booths, said Tom Callahan, the show director. If you want something to order for yourself, they will actually make it to your requirements and after that bring it to you at another program, or fulfill you somewhere in the future.
