FAIRHOPE, Ala. – The Eastern Coast will have an approximated 250,000 visitors this weekend as the 63rd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival strikes the streets of downtown Fairhope Friday through Sunday.
More than 230 exhibitors from all over America will bring their best work to reveal and offer at this respected juried program. Live entertainment will be going on throughout the three-day event and unique cuisine will be served up in the food court.
Organizers at the Eastern Coast Chamber of Commerce anxiety that, regardless of a weekend projection that includes some rain, the festival will go on as prepared.
Festival hours are Friday and Saturday 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm and there is no admission charge.
In 2013 the occasion attracted more than 250,000 visitors to the area. The festival was chosen as one of the top 20 occasions in the southeast for March by the Alabama Bureau of Tourist and the event is also one of the top 20 events chosen by the Southeast Tourism Society.
The BRATS shuttle will be offered for $2 at places from the Plantation Pointe Shopping Center, Ecor Rouge Place Center, Eastern Coast Town Center and the east side of Volanta Sports Complex. All shuttle bus parking is free and the areas are less than 5 minutes from downtown.
Free valet parking for bikes will certainly be provided behind the Fairhope Museum of History. Handicapped parking will certainly be located in the Community Parking area on Bancroft.
